Although there are many obstacles, and challenges, to proceed, with meaningful, relevant, effective leadership, real leaders realize, it is essential to prioritize, a genuine, meeting of the MINDS! A great leader focuses on the best interests, needs, perceptions, and priorities, of his constituents (and, potential ones), rather than focusing, merely, on his own, personal/ political agenda, and/ or, self - interest! How can any organization, proceed, in a relevant, sustainable manner, until/ unless, it has leaders, who behave, this way? With that in mind, this article will attempt to, briefly, consider, examine, review, and discuss, using the mnemonic approach, what this means, requires, and why it matters. https://ezinearticles.com/?Effective-Leaders-Seek-A-Meeting-Of-The-MINDS!&id=10127178
1. Make mark; motivate; mention; mindful: Unless one is mindful of what the strengths, weaknesses, priorities, goals, and mission of his organization, and stakeholders (actual and potential) are, how will he, possibly, be able to make his mark, for the better! While a leader must demand his highest degree of personal excellence, he must proceed, with a different attitude, in terms of his expectations of others. To motivate them, and get them, more involved, committed, and caring, he must clearly, mention each and every effort, expended by others!
2. Inspire; integrity; imagination: How can anyone, inspire others, if he doesn't make them, feel, he possesses the utmost degree of genuine integrity, and is willing, to seek, the best, for them, without taking sides? He must have the imagination, to bring others together, by being perceived as unbiased, fair, and equitable, in order to gain their trust!
3. Delve deeply; discover; deliver; demographics: An effective leader understand his group's demographics, and considers, various perspectives, priorities, goals, etc, before moving forward! This means delving deeply, in order to discover, the best approaches, which others need, and bringing those with conflicting opinions, together, for the common good!
4. Solutions; serve; system; sustainable; strengths/ stronger: When constituents feel their leaders care about them, and are trying to improve the organization, by addressing weaknesses, using the strengths, and making everyone stronger, and better - served, it helps them, think, outside - the - box! Solutions must be relevant, and sustainable, while avoiding serving one component of membership, over others! When one creates a system, which others believe is fair, and focused, they maximize the possibilities!
Effective leaders, consistently, focus on, seeking, a meeting, of the MINDS, by convincing others, they are fair, and equitable, and seek, better solutions! Are you, up to the task?
